The Time Machine

I feel the need
To walk backwards through life
And a life told in reverse is
The story of an old body
Returned to
Losing itself
Through experiences
Falling out of hate
And the rot of anger
Into love
A great burst of emotions
A broken heart mending itself
Memories being discarded
Pains being let go
Absolved and forgotten
The slate wiped clean
A virgin mind
And a virgin soul
And when every thing
Is finally made empty
The universe will accept me back
Taking the fetus from the mother
Placing the sperm back into the father
Then unraveling the both of them
Mother and father
And life
Seen from this perspective,
From the end to the beginning,
Is not such a bad way to go
