It’s important to enjoy good art. I believe it stimulates something inside of us. Something that television and everyday life numbs and slowly eats away at.
So here is Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night over the Rhone (1888), which is a remarkable piece of art.

  1. If I were around back in his day, I would have married that man. (Or, at least tried. :0) He’s my favourite artist ever and has been for 20 years. He had a thing for absynthe (and prostitutes) which might explain his penchant for the psych ward, and it’s hard to say which one drove him there. ;0) But I love that man…this is a great piece.

    • i was unaware for his penchant for absynthe (and prostitutes). but it’s understandable. great artist hardly ever fit into the confines of conventional society.
and i love his work. how amazing it would have been to talk to him and get a peek inside his head. to understand the world as he understood it.
