I’m Handsome

I’m handsome
like a house falling apart
in the right light
dilapidated roofs
and gardens overgrown
by morning-glories
take on romantic airs
and a rustic preoccupation which
others take up
cultivate
and, having
given affection,
call home

    • thank you. it has the danger of sounding conceited. but that is not the purpose of the poem. I simply like the juxtaposition of naming a poem one thing and then saying something else.
